the exciting adventures of person 'Y'

so, several weeks ago, person 'Y' was asked to work on this project on creating a process for making tool 'I' manufacturable. unfortunately for our hero, 'Y', while he was attending to this, it was found that another tool 'I' was putting out utter crap and everything had to go through the tool person 'Y' had. so while person 'Y' was trying to accommodate all of these new requirements placed on tool 'I'. after a lot of yelling and screaming from all directions and six day workweeks, person 'Y' really starts to wonder if coming to coming to work for company 'I' was really the right decision. lucky for him, thanksgiving holiday is coming up, with two whole days off(longest holiday company 'I' has mandated). add that to the weekend, and it's 4 days of no more headaches and no more work! or, maybe only a few emails.

incidentally, person 'Y' was driving home one day and was playing with the cigarette lighter thingy in the car. he accidentally pressed the button in to start the heating element, but quickly pulled the knob and thing out to stop it. person 'Y' decided to feel the coil to see if it had gotten hot yet in the short period it was pushed in. apparently, those things get hot pretty quickly because person 'Y' got his finger burned.

i recently stumbled across this article and i would like to note that anything involving person 'Y' or company 'I' or any persons or companies mentioned in such a manner, are completely fictional. any resemblance to any person or company is purely coincidental. though cigarette lighters are still very hot.

A une passante -- a different take

the deluge from the information superhighway was drowning me.
part first, part middle in name, followed by the curves of three,
a woman was online, bringing a glimmer of hope
to my heart, but alas with her status set to away;

stately and graceful, she was a southern belle.
nervous in the glow, i basked
from her lamp, a statuesque beauty,
the romance that enthralls and the pleasure that kills.

i left to play disc... then an instant message! fleeting beauty
by whose conversation i might be suddenly lifted,
shall i be fated to never talk to you again?

elsewhere, far far away from here! too late! perhaps never!
for i know not why you signed off, nor know you when i shall be on,
oh you whom i would have loved to talk to, oh you who knew it!
