in company 'g', they came first for beer during lunch;
i said nothing for i did not drink beer.

then they came for all the candy;
i did not speak out as i did not eat candy.

then they came for the ski trip;
i remained silent because i did not ski.

then they came for me;
and there was no one left to speak up.

"work"

every year, company 'g' has an annual trip. this year the trip happened to be to what is self described as the happiest place on earth. this ends up being basically a 2 day 2 night trip with all expenses paid (flight, hotel, food, drinks, etc.). given the fact that everyone is invited and encouraged to take time off work to go on this free trip, who wouldn't want to go? apparently most of my group. go figure.

in the dark

what's worse than waking up before the sun is up outside?
waking up before the sun is out and getting out of work after it's dark.

what's worse than never seeing the sun because it's only out when you're at work?
never seeing the sun and then returning to your hometo sit in the dark because something is wrong with the electricity.
