looking smart

someone came up to me today and told me that i looked smart. it clearly did not mean the "neat" or "trim" definition of smart, since i was dressed in an old t-shirt and mesh shorts. the person asked me where i worked, so apparently the person meant that i looked intelligent. i'm not exactly sure how or what the person was able to decifer from my appearances other than the fact that i am asian, but i'll take "smart". i think.
