yao = racist?

so when i added kate to my elite group of friends on friendster, i noticed that she was the only white person i had as a friend. in fact, she was the only person on my list of friends who wasn't of chinese decent of some sort. this is kinda strange as i don't think i tend to hang around asians any more than people of other backgrounds; at least not to the extent of those people on the diag who only hand out party postcards/invitations to asians. don't people of other races like to party?

well, i'm glad i have at least one white friend. kate can be my token white friendster. seeing as my friendster group distributions do not match that of my actual group of friends, perhaps i should institute an affirmative action process for the purposes of diversity. as an engineer, one might think it logical to institute a point system whereby under-represented minorities received bonus points for their race. but i would want to have a narrowly tailored use of race in admissions decisions to further a compelling interest in obtaining the benefits that flow from a diverse friendster body. don't want to mess with direct orders from the supreme court.
