hand eye coordination and such
while i would not consider myself a hard core gamer, i do believe that i have reasonably good hand eye coordination. at least when it comes to new games, i am able to become at least proficient fairly quickly. which is why i was pretty confident when i sat down to play a new game (to me) with girl, person 'A'. before we began our head to head matchup, there was a difficulty setting for each player. as i saw person 'A' move her cursor down to the easiest setting, my confidence went up and i increased my difficulty setting to the hardest. however, when we started the game, i soon realized that i was in over my head at the hardest setting and quickly lost. when we started another match, we both went on the normal difficult setting. i figured i'd play along for a little while to make the game interesting before pulling out the victory. how the scene played out in real life and how i had originally imagined it was slightly different. i did play around at first, but when i tried to close the deal, i found myself on the losing end. somehow, i had lost a video game to a girl! "let's play again!" i demanded, eager to redeem my video game manhood. much to my chagrin, person 'A' placed her setting on the "harder" setting and proceeded to beat me again; and once again when she changed her setting to the hardest! after a few more beatdowns, i gave up. to a girl.
