knowing the future

i'm sure that many of us have often wished to know the future. knowing stock picks, or application results ahead of time can certainly put our minds at ease. when a friend of my recently announced that she was going to break up with her bf, i would have taken it in stride if not for the fact that actual breakup didn't occur until somewhat later than the announcement. it's hard to hang out with someone when you know that they are about to not hang out with you for much longer.
