jury duty

a while ago, i was talking to a friend about how he was doing jury duty. he was surprised to learn that i was a registered voter and had never been selected to for jury duty.

of course, one scant week later, i received a letter in the mail from the superior court asking my presence as a juror. they sent me directions to the courthouse as well as a free bus pass. but best of all, they provided me with with an official maricopa county juror badge! true, i had to cut along the dotted line to remove the paper badge off of my summons letter, but it was quite an honor to be sent a badge with my very own juror ID number.

alas, the trial was in maricopa county, so i was unable to serve as a juror, but i look forward to the next time i may be able to proudly wear an official juror badge!
