a miserable failure
oh, how quickly we must eat our words... i say "we/our" in an attempt to make myself feel better, but the more proper word would probably be "i/my".
this morning, i was at the cafeteria again, but this time i was buying breakfast. i had decided on today's special, which was biscuits with gravy and scrambled eggs. when i ordered the special, the cook said "we don't have any eggs... but i can give you the biscuits and gravy." i must have had a forlorn look on my face because he then asked me if i wanted some sausage instead. when i nodded he said "okay, let's hide these underneath your biscuits. that's how we'll trick them."
who was i to disagree? i'm all for tricking "them" if it involves me getting some free food. so there goes my supposed "moral fibre", but hey--i got some sausage patties out of it.
